Quarter Sawn Wenge

Beautiful, dark, close grained, with a "winged" figure.  Great for contrast to compliment a colorful riser wood, or as a main riser block.

Curly Hard Maple

Classic Fiddleback figure, timeless classic. Beautifully combined with contrasting, colorful exotics.


Striking Wide Grain, May be straight, or selectively cut to create dramatic figure


African Rosewood family.  May be straight grain or highly figured with curl, beeswing, waterfall or other figure types.  Very Attractive, stable wood.

Osage Orange

Bois D' Arc.  The original bowyer wood.  Hard, dense, and tough.  Striking yellow wood when freshly cut.  Over time, it softens to a light amber brown.  Classic Wood for a traditional archer.

Pacific Yew

Traditional and Prized wood for limb cores and veneers.  Straight grained, with occassional pips and small knots looks great under clear glass.  Quarter sawn and straight grain is used for limb core laminations.  

Vertical Bamboo

Our basic Limb Core Material.  Amber color is standard.  

Quarter Sawn Hard Maple

Vertical Grain, Excellent, Clear, White Limb Core Lamination.

Premium Cocobolo

Cocobolo is a gorgeous dark figured wood comes from Mexico and bordering countries.  One of our very best wood choices for a beautiful bow.

Premium Macassar Ebony

Rich, fabulous, colorful, yet dark.  One of the finest of premium exotic hardwoods.

Premium Black and White Ebony

Stunning premium exotic wood with alternating light and dark figure.  Highly Prized.

Premium Gaboon Ebony

Ink Black Hardwood.  Highly prized, known as the wood of the pharaohs.  Considered the absolute pinnacle of riser wood, can be used alone, or commonly as a compliment to colorful or figured woods.


Pending Availability. Dramatic specks and splotches bear a close resemblance to the skin of a snake.  Snakewood is also among the densest and hardest of all wood species

A truly unique-looking wood, Ziricote has very few imitators.  Ziricote has a very unique appearance, which is sometimes referred to as “spider-webbing” or “landscape” grain figure

Brazilian Tulipwood

Tulipwood is a stunningly beautiful hardwood which is in short supply.  It grows in a very narrow geographical region.  It makes a gorgeous colorful limb veneer, or part of a riser.

Pink Ivory

Pink Ivory trees are said to be both rare and valuable, and have been rumored to be “rarer than diamonds.”  The color and pattern as shown here is the most desireable..

Gordon Fiberglass

We use only quality Gordon fiberglass in our bows.  We stock most of the colors currently offered by the manufacturer.  Our Base Model bows use Black Glass as a standard.  We also offer colored glass for a small additional charge, to customize your bow.  Gordons has expanded the range of colors to select from.  There are 3 shades of brown, 3 shades of grey, green, white, black, and even red.
